Our poor nanny has been fighting a sinus infection for about two weeks and is only getting worse so she called this morning miserable. So Mommy took the day off. I had planned on taking the kids up to the Safari Park to see the butterflies on Wednesday but decided we would go today. Every year for about three weeks (lifespan of a butterfly) they have an exhibit on butterflies. It is so amazing. Hundreds of beautiful butterflies fly around you and land on you. It is something that everyone should see. Next time we will wear orange shirts.
When we walked up on the lions the three (1 male and 2 females) where lying basking in the sun. All of a sudden you hear a dog bark and the three lions jump up and run straight to the glass in their exhibit. Behind the glass a person with her Seeing Eye dog was watching and the lions did not like the dog. It was amazing watching these lions come run up to the glass and the kids got to get nose to nose with them.
The African Tram ride is the big part of this park. You ride a tram around a huge area like a savannah in Africa. The kids thought this was cool and we got to see all the babies that had recently been born.
You cant leave without a ride on the carousel
