Today
was a very special day. We have
dear friends that invited us to ride in the El Cajon Toy Parade. Don is the chief of fire for Viejas and
they sponsor a toy drive every year.
They get about 20000 toys donated from around San Diego. We all meet at the fire headquarters
and load about 25 fire trucks with all the toys and then we go lights and
sirens down the streets of El Cajon.
No one knows what is going on so they all come running out and notice
that we have all these toys to be donated. It just made me teary eyed the entire trip. The kids had a blast sitting on the big
ladder at the top of the truck. I hope this can become a yearly tradition.
